Selecting the Web Address for Your Tizra Site When Tizra first sets up your Tizra Publisher website, we give you the default name of YourCompanyName.tizrapublisher.com. Tizra gives you the option to create your own, custom web address using your existing domain name or a new subdomain. You can have your existing domain name (For example: yourcompany.com) point at your Tizra Publisher site or you can create a new subdomain name (For example: digital.yourcompany.com) to point at your Tizra Publisher site. Selecting a web address that includes your company’s own name has the advantage of making it clear to users that you are the source of the content on the site and making it easy for them to remember where to find it, and also should help your ranking in Google search results. To customize your web address in Tizra: 1. Go to your own domain hosting provider and create a CNAME (Canonical Name) record, which is an alias that will bounce users from your domain or subdomain name to your Tizra Publisher web address. Note: No two domain hosting providers are exactly alike, but usually you will want to go to domain hosting provider’s DNS (Domain Name Server) settings. 2. From the Tizra Control Panel, go to SETTINGS Site Name and copy the entry from Your Tizra Publisher Address (Figure 3). The format of the number will be s#########.tizrapublisher.com Figure 3 3. Enter Your Tizra Publisher Address from above in your domain hosting provider’s CNAME record field. 4. On the SETTINGS Site Name screen, in the Enter Domain Name field (Figure 4), enter your domain name (For example: yourcompany.com) OR enter your subdomain !
