Making Design Changes to an Already Live Design This set of design change instructions are geared toward those who want to make updates to their existing Live website design. These steps assume you have the exact same design applied to both your Live and Staging sites. Also See: A Beginner’s Guide to Making Design Changes Developing a Brand New Design 1. From the Tizra Control Panel, go to PRESENTATION Library. 2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save As... button. This will create a backup of the design CURRENTLY in Staging and will allow you to give it a new name. Creating this backup copy will prevent you from accidentally overwriting work that a previous user (or you) may have left in the staging area without saving and also give you a backup design to revert back to if you make any unwanted changes. 3. In the dialog box, enter a new Name for the Staging backup (for example: “current date staging backup”) and click Save. 4. Make your changes to the design. Make your changes using the design tools in the PRESENTATION Properties, PRESENTATION Global Header, PRESENTATION Stylesheet, PRESENTATION Layouts and/or PRESENTATION Images sections. Important Note: The PRESENTATION Stylesheet, PRESENTATION Layouts and PRESENTATION Global Header sections are advanced topics and require proficiency in standard web development skills, including HTML and CSS. 5. To preview your changes, click the Staging link in the upper right-hand corner of the Tizra Control Panel. Once the Staging window/tab is open, you can continue to preview additional changes by simply refreshing the page. 6. As you work, periodically click the Save button next to the design name you are working on. This will save any changes you’ve made since the last save AND create a time-stamped backup of the design that does NOT reflect any of the most recent changes. This is useful as it allows you to revert to a prior version if needed. See the Save button description for more information. Note: You can also save the current staging design under a new name by clicking the Save As… button at the bottom of the Library screen. 7. When your design is complete and you're ready to make it available to the public, once again click the Save button next to the design you’ve updated. 8. Click Apply next to the design you just saved in step 7, and then click Live in the dialog box. !
