Excerpt Creation - Method 2: Click on and highlight an individual heading and then click Create Excerpt (Figure 109). Figure 109 Note: The method displayed in Figure 109 works well if you are only creating a few Excerpts for the Document. Excerpt Creation - Method 3: Click the Create Excerpt link (Figure 110). You will proceed to the Create Excerpt dialog box (Figure 111). Enter the page range(s) there and click Next. You can enter page ranges as: “1”, “1-20”, “1-20, 38” or “1-20, 38-39”, etc. Figure 110 Figure 111 Note: Do NOT use the position of the pages on the printed page. Be sure to use the position of the pages from the PDF. So, for example, if the first page of your Document is an unnumbered Title page and the second page of your Document is what you want to make into an Excerpt, but has the number “1” actually printed on it, you would enter “2” in the Create Excerpt dialog box, because it is in fact the second page of the PDF. 5. On the list of Excerpts, select the box(es) next to the Excerpts that you wish to publish and click the Publish button (Figure 112). !
