Clicking the Save Button Next to a Changed Design ONLY Applied to Staging Important Note: Before you click the Save button next to a design you’ve made changes to, your changes are already visible and reflected on your Staging (and Testing) sites. When you click the Save button next to a changed design that is applied JUST to your Staging site (Figure 510), the current state of your Staging site will be saved under that name. The design that was previously under that name will be renamed with a timestamp reflecting the time at which the save occurred and retained as a backup (Figure 511). Figure 510 Figure 511 For example: Assume you have a design called “Our Staging Design” and it is applied to your Staging site. Additionally, assume you have a design called “Our Live Design” and it is applied to your Live site. Then assume you make changes to your Staging design -- “Our Staging Design.” When you click the Save button next to “Our Staging Design,” the current state of your Staging site -- “Our Staging Design” with its changes -- will be saved under the name “Our Staging Design.” The design that was previously under that name -- “Our Staging Design” WITHOUT any changes will be renamed with a timestamp reflecting the time at which the save occurred -- “Our Working Design (backup: date time-stamp)” and will be retained as a backup. The backup will not be applied to your Staging or Live site. The design that was originally applied to your Live site -- “Our Live Design” -- will continue to be applied to Live.
