Adding New Tag Values On the Tag Picker screen, enter a new Tag value in the New Tag field and click the Add button (Figure 402). Figure 402 The newly added Tag will be added to the Tags list in bold AND will display in the Tag(s) field on the left side of the Tag Picker screen (Figure 403). Close the Tag Picker screen by clicking on the X in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen to return to the Properties screen (Document, Excerpt, Collection, Offer, etc.), where the newly added Tag(s) will be listed in the Tag(s) field. Figure 403 Each Tag you create within a specific type of Content or for a User will only be applicable for that particular type of Content OR to Users. (Also see “Exception to this rule” below). Therefore, if you create a Tag for an Offer, you will only be able to select that Tag on other Offer Properties screen. If you wanted to use that same Tag name on a Static Page, you would have to add that Tag on the Static Page Properties page. Similarly, if you create a Tag to a User, you will not be able to access that Tag on any of the Content Properties (Documents, Excerpts, etc.) Tag Picker screens. Exception to this rule: Any Tags that exist on a Document will be inherited by the Excerpts created from the “Original Document” and then made available via the Excerpt Tag Picker. Therefore, if you have the Tag “Instructor” on Document A, then all of Document A’s Excerpts will also have the “Instructor” Tag automatically added to them. Additionally, the “Instructor” Tag will then be available for selection on other Excerpts as well. !
