Clicking the Save Button Next to a Changed Design Applied to BOTH Staging & Live Important Note: Before you click the Save button next to a design you’ve made changes to, your changes are already visible and reflected on your Staging (and Testing) sites. On the Library screen, when you click the Save button next to a changed design that is applied to BOTH your Staging and Live sites (Figure 508), the current state of your Staging site will be saved under that design’s name. The design that was previously under that name will be renamed with a timestamp reflecting the time at which the save occurred and retained as a backup. The backup design will be applied to your Live site (Figure 509). Figure 508 Figure 509 For example: Assume you have a design called “Our Current Design” and it is applied to BOTH your Staging and Live sites. Then assume you make changes to the design, changing the text from black to red. When you click the Save button next to “Our Current Design,” the current state of your Staging site “Our Current Design” with the red text will be saved under the name “Our Current Design.” The design that was previously under that name “Our Current Design” with the black text -- will be renamed with a timestamp -- “Our Current Design (backup: date time-stamp)” and retained as a backup. The backup design with the black text will be applied to your Live site.
