Is free access? (disable access control) The Is free access ? (disable access control) field (Figure 287) interacts with the Control Access (require license to view) field. Leaving the Is free access? field with its default setting of “No.” allows you to control access to the Static page, creating an Offer on the page that users must accept before being able to access the page, for example. Setting the Is free access? to “Yes” overrides any Offer associated with the Static Page, and would also override the selection on the SETTINGS Access Control page, thereby making the Static Page accessible to Unauthenticated Users. User Tip: If you want to gather User information (such as name, email address, etc.) and force a registration on your web site in exchange for free access to the Static Page, leave this field with the default setting of No and then create an Offer with the Pricing field set to Free (one claim per use): Users will automatically be presented with appropriate registration screens and claim buttons and will only be allowed access to the Static Page one time.
