Publish metadata only, leaving PDF as is (on a Document) The Publish metadata only, leaving PDF as is field (Figure 76) allows you to only publish any updates to your metadata, which includes all fields on the Document Properties screen PLUS the Table of Contents. This feature saves the time of republishing what may be a very large PDF. Selecting this field is useful if you have made changes ONLY to the metadata fields and nothing within the Document’s PDF(s) has changed. If you have made changes to the PDF, do NOT select this field. Note: The Publish metadata only, leaving PDF as is field is intended for cases where you’ve previously published a Document and only want to update the metadata (leaving the PDF and any attachments alone).
