Enabling Search Engine Access Search engines (like everyone else) are allowed access to content that has no access restrictions (is free). You can grant search engines special access for your entire site if you wish. This is best if all of your access-controlled content is available for sale, and you want users to be able to find it so they can buy it. This ensures your books are visible to Google and other search engines (while still remaining behind the Paywall). 1. Go to SETTINGS Access Control (Figure 22). Figure 22 2. Under the Search Engine Access section, select “Grant search engines special access to all documents” (Figure 23). Note: If you do NOT select the “Grant search engines special access to all documents” option, you can grant search engines special access on a document by document basis by selecting the Yes, in the Show in Public Search and Indexes field on the Document Properties screen. Figure 23 3. Click Save.
