Account Status (for Individual User Accounts) Figure 307 There are four options in the Individual User Account Status field (Figure 307): Active: This is the default setting when a User registers on your web site or when you manually enter a User. Pending Activation: Use this setting if you want to force an Individual User to create a new Password the next time they log in. This setting is helpful if a User cannot log into your website. You can set their status to Pending Activation, have them log in using their User Name only and they will be forced to create a new Password. This feature is also useful for resetting the Password for Users who do not use their email address as their User Name. This setting is best if a User does not have any special access privileges to the Content of your web site and you mostly want to maximize convenience for the User. If you want a more secure process, use the Email Verification Required setting (described below). Cancelled: Use this setting to terminate an Individual User’s access to your web site. The User will not be able to re-register under the same User Name Email Verification Required: This is a more secure User verification process. This setting requires that the User first create a new password when they log in to your web site (with just their User Name). After creating their new password, they will receive a confirming email and link that they must click on in order to complete the registration process. This setting ONLY works if your User’s User Name is their email address. Note: Email Verification Required is the default setting when you create new Individual Users Accounts using the Tizra Publisher Upload feature. (See Creating Batch User Accounts Using the Upload Feature for more information). !
