Rendering a Page Online Takes Too Long Slow page rendering will only occur the first time a page is accessed by anyone after it’s been published to your Live site, or when that page is zoomed (in or out), as each page size is rendered separately. The steps below will help ensure that page rendering is quick the first time the page is accessed and for all subsequent zooms (in or out) of the page. Please also see the Tech Tip note below. 1. If you haven’t already, make sure required fonts are embedded. 2. Run the steps outlined in the PDF Optimizations for Tizra Upload section. 3. Check that you do not have large font libraries. 4. If the steps listed above do not solve the issue, please contact Tizra Support. Tech Tip: Your Tizra Publisher Staging site allows the browser to cache a page image for 5 minutes, but there is no Tizra, server-side caching at all. So, a refresh of a page on the Staging site is guaranteed to re-render the page. Therefore, if you are using the Tizra Staging area for testing and/or proofing, and you’re experiencing slow online rendering, the performance issues will be greatly magnified, as each delivery of a page image will not speed up after the initial access. Normally this is at most a few seconds of extra time, but if a page image is taking a minute or more, you will really notice the affect. . TT
