Figure 16 Note: When copying and pasting a URL from your web browser into the Enter a URL for this link field, make sure that your links contain the http:// or https://. Links to web pages that do not contain the http:// or https:// will not work. If you need to copy the URLs you are linking to into another application first, before pasting them into the Enter a URL for this link field, use a text editor (not something like Word, which can alter your URLs via its autocorrect feature). 6. OPTIONALLY, if you want the “linked to” web page to open in a NEW WINDOW, add #tizra-target:_blank after the end of the web address. For Example: http://support.tizra.com#tizra-target:_blank Important: If after copying and pasting a URL into the Enter a URL for this link field, there is no forward slash at the end of the URL, DO NOT ADD A FORWARD SLASH before adding #tizra- target:_blank to the end. Additionally, if after copying and pasting a URL into the Enter a URL for this link field, there IS a forward slash, you can delete it, as it may cause problems. Tech Tip: For technical information on further customizations for links within a PDF, see: Tizra's Technical Developer Notes. 7. Test the newly created links in Adobe Acrobat to make sure they open the correct URL. 8. Upload the saved PDF into a Document in Tizra, publish to Staging and then test the links in Tizra’s online content viewer. If any links are broken, edit the hyperlinks within the PDF, re-upload to Tizra and when everything is working, publish to Live. ! ! TT
