On Display: 6 of Our Favorite Client eContent Stores

Even though the volume of online content continues to increase rapidly, content consumers are increasingly frustrated about their inability to find credible, authoritative resources. Unfortunately, those materials often are hidden under an avalanche of unverified and crowd-sourced information with varying degrees of accuracy and validity. And worst of all for those counting on revenue from their materials, many content destinations don’t emphasize security. Content producers are also frustrated by the current situation. They’ve put lots of time and effort into developing thoroughly researched, high-quality courses, reports, documents, webinars, publications, videos, and other resources only to have them sit unused because nobody can find them. Increase Content Discoverability With an eStore A tailored digital content store that improves content promotion and increases discoverability makes your materials stand out and helps customers find what they need and buy resources quickly, efficiently, and securely. And providing a positive customer experience that’s centered around organization and security tends to keep content consumers coming back. “Tizra completely modernized and 100% improved the user experience, from browsing to accessing to reading.”      —Toni Kervina, Director of Content Management at ASNT What does an engaging and intuitive content store look like? We profile six of our favorite Tizra customer sites below. 1. American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) ASNT publishes standards, handbooks and related materials that are a crucial source of revenue. These resources are also valuable intellectual property (IP) that they need to protect. Before launching their Tizra eStore, they used proprietary DRM software to prevent content piracy. However, customer’s found the user experience frustrating, and this became an urgent issue. Following the transition to its new content store, ASNT offers a greatly improved user experience. In addition, the organization is taking advantage of features like the ability to unbundle and rebundle content into new products easily to address customer needs. 2. The American Hospital Association (AHA) A recognized and respected healthcare organization, the American Hospital Association uses the Tizra platform to deliver content purchased from its store. AHA’s “eBooks homepage” displays featured resources like manuals, coding handbooks, playbooks and eBooks, encouraging visitors to learn more or view the download link. 3. Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) SMACNA generates revenue from selling materials such as publications, CAD drawings and posters. Like many Tizra sites, the SMACNA Bookstore features integration with AMS, so users don’t have to remember multiple logins and all data about the user can be consolidated in a single platform. Public metadata on the site helps customers discover it and improves overall search engine optimization (SEO). 4. TRI Princeton Library TRI Princeton is a nonprofit focused on scientific research and education. When they initially launched their library, materials such as research reports and conference presentations were provided as a member benefit, making it both easier for members to find the content they needed and for prospective members to see the depth and quality of the content on the platform. The director of business development compared that strategy to putting the content in the "shop window." After that was successful, they needed a solution to start generating “non-dues” revenue. They decided to sell bundles of content based on various audiences’ specific needs and interests. Today, TRI Princeton uses Tizra’s earlier “Quickstart” front-end site for content promotion and delivery, but are in the process of migrating to our newest designed offering called Evergreen. 5. The Auto Care Association This association had more sales from its Auto Care Digital Hub in the first month of launching on Tizra than in the prior six months. The Auto Care Association’s story is an excellent example of how the right eStore solution can significantly increase revenue from digital resources. Auto Care recently upgraded to our new Evergreen platform, which provided an immediate visual update, and more importantly, will make it easy to take advantage of new features and enhancements as they are released in future versions. 6. PayrollOrg The experienced editorial team of payroll and employment law experts at PayrollOrg publishes resources for payroll professionals at all stages of their careers. They recently upgraded their Tizra-hosted PayrollOrg Bookshelf to a fresh design using Tizra's Evergreen user experience platform. The bookshelf includes flagship resources such as The Payroll Source in XML format, which provides a truly digital native user experience across devices, with precise linking and reflowable text. The Ongoing Evolution of Our Content Store Platform Tizra was built from the ground up to make it easy for organizations to offer their content for sale online from an attractive, intuitive, and secure site. But we’re always looking for ways to further enhance it. The latest release of the Tizra Evergreen platform includes a major upgrade to the design tools, with features like: The ability to highlight key content with a strong visual hierarchy that gets attention where you want it Easy-to-use drag-and-drop blocks for creating cards, tiles, and text-only listings to suit different content types and user preferences. These and other enhancements help you create excitement about content a visitor may not have even been looking for. And the great thing about these features is that they’re available to current Tizra customers as soon as we roll them out. There’s no need to swap themes or templates or take any action that would disrupt an existing site. Check out some of our recent improvements.
