WHO THEY ARE
ICSA is dedicated to understanding and addressing the impact of high-control groups and coercive relationships. They support researchers, mental health professionals, survivors, and families through education and research. Their work spans academic scholarship, practical resources, and community support, all aimed at helping people understand and recover from coercive experiences.
WHY TIZRA
ICSA needed a platform that could handle diverse content types—from academic journal articles to videos and presentations—and make them all searchable and easy to navigate. They were committed to providing free public access to their resources, which meant the platform had to be both powerful and user-friendly. They chose Tizra for its robust full-text and page-specific search capabilities, flexible content organization, and ability to create a professional, accessible library that could grow with their mission.
HOW TIZRA HELPS
Working closely with ICSA, Tizra built a centralized online library that brings together all of their content in one searchable hub. The platform's full-text search allows visitors to find specific information across hundreds of PDFs, while customizable metadata and faceted filtering help users browse by content type, topic, or publication. The homepage features the latest resources, making it easy for visitors to discover new content.
The library is organized into clear categories—academic articles from the International Journal of Coercion, Abuse, and Manipulation (iJCAM), alongside magazine content, videos, and curated resources. This structure enables different audiences—whether researchers, clinicians, or survivors—to quickly find what they need. Tizra's flexible architecture makes it easy to tailor presentation appropriately for each content type, while keeping the overall user (and content management) experience consistent. The platform also supports ongoing content updates, with ICSA adding new magazine content monthly and academic articles annually.
Through its partnership with Tizra, ICSA has successfully transformed its extensive archive into a living digital library. By making decades of research easily searchable and freely available, the new platform directly supports ICSA's mission to help people understand and recover from coercive experiences, empowering a global community with credible information and support.
