Don’t Update Publication Date Select the Don’t update publication date field if you are publishing changes to the Excerpt, but do NOT wish to update the publication date. This can be useful if you have just made a correction to an Excerpt, and do not want it to be shown again in RSS feeds, or listings of latest additions to your site.
