Creating Hyperlink Formatted Text in a PDF
If you’ve set the formatting of a link created in a PDF to include a visible rectangle, that
rectangle will show up in your published Document, but ONLY when users hover over
the linkable text. If you want to format the text to appear with a universally recognizable
linking format – blue underlined text – you can edit the text within your PDF.
1. In Adobe Acrobat, go to Tools > Content Editing > Edit Text & Images.
A Format menu will display at the bottom of the Content Editing section Figure
2. With your cursor, select the text in the PDF that you wish to format.
3. In the Format menu, use the text color and text underline tools (Figure 26,
circled) to create the hyperlink format.
